A rust-free chromium and molybdenum-alloyed special steel is used for our household and professional knives. Every single delivery of steel to the Victorinox manufacturing facility is analysed and tested to determine which hardening and annealing temperature guarantees the best edge retaining capacity while preserving a sufficiently high rust-resistance.
